Holy Trinity Youth took part in the Lower Susquehanna Synod’s annual retreat for Middle Schoolers, Alive. More than 100 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from Lutheran churches all across the Synod met as one to enjoy the weekend theme “Better Together” – inspired from Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s concept of ‘beloved community’ and the premise that EVERY human being has value. Special scripture that we heard this weekend included: Hebrews 10:24-25, Acts 2:43-47, and Ephesians 4:1-6.

Children are welcome at Trinity, we want to share Jesus’ love with them, and help parents raise their children in faith. Children gather for music time at 10:45 a.m. in the Parish House Choir room. Then children go to classroom 202 (behind the Choir room) for a Bible story, a craft, and/or play a Bible Story game. In addition to Sunday morning learning, activities for families and children are held throughout the year. With questions, please contact Rachel Kramer, Director of Children and Family Ministry. Confirmation age kids, 6th, 7th and 8th graders will join the Sunday School for music time at 10:45am starting in Trinity’s Chapel. Afterwards, will go to room 205(across the hall from the choir room on the 2nd floor of the Parish House) for a lesson. Trinity’s confirmation program is a 3 year rotation. One year the students study the Old Testament, one year the students drive deeper into the New Testament, and one year the students hear all about Lutheran Theology. At the end of the program students get the opportunity to affirm their baptisms during worship and celebrate afterwards with a special Trinity Fellowship time.
Each Sunday, learning opportunities for adults are offered after worship and are preceded by a time of coffee and lite snack fellowship.
At Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, we believe and teach that all we have is a Gift from God. As good stewards of these gifts, we share as we are able with sacrifice and gratitude.Through our generosity we can express our Love, Faith and Thanksgiving. As the Psalmist writes: “The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.” (Psalms 24.1)
Consider Giving HereSunday, February 8th after worship, the Trinity faithful gathered in Fondersmith Auditorium for a SOUP 'r bowl festivity. 14 volunteers prepared marvelous soup dishes, non-pershishable goods were collected for donation to the Lancaster Food Hub. Holy Trinity is offering a series of Advent studies beginning Thursday, February 26 and continuing through Thursday, March 26. For this year, Pastor Joel and Loren Good will teach on five different chapters from the Book of Psalms. We will begin with a meal at 6:00 followed by worship at 7:00. You are encouraged to attend as you are able. All activities will take place in Fondersmith Auditorium.

The Holy Trinity First Friday Speaker Series continues. Sylvia Cavenaugh, tour coordinator for the African American Historical Society will talk with us about Black Women's History. The event begins with ringing of the bells at 5:00, a short concert at 5:15 followed by Sylvia's presentation at 5:30. Following the speaker, church tours are offered along with refreshments beginning at 6:00. No fee is charged and plenty of free parking.
