International Ministry
The International Ministries Committee is committed to helping raise awareness that Holy Trinity is a member of Christ’s global church, sharing the message of love and grace with our international brothers and sisters in Christ.
The intent of the ministry is to fulfill Christ’s commandment to go into all the world and spread the gospel, to learn about the challenges Christians confront practicing their faith under sometimes difficult circumstances, to respond to suffering caused by natural and manmade disasters, and to be enriched by learning how other cultures celebrate and express their Christian faith.
Holy Trinity’s international ministries projects have included:
- refugee resettlement
- support for a Valentine Appeal each year dedicated to a specific need around the world
- working to help distribute clothing and other supplies through Lutheran World Relief
- hosting visitors to discuss their experiences.
The committee helps to support financially a variety of entities like
- the Arusha Lutheran Medical Center
- MaaSAE Girls Lutheran Secondary School in Tanzania
- the Nazareth Hospital School of Nursing in Israel
- the ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program, and other worthwhile organizations.
Opportunities to Help
- Travel to the World Relief East Coast Distribution Center to volunteer in in New Windsor, MD, to deliver donated supplies and to volunteer in their warehouse for a day.
- Contribute to the Annual Valentine Appeal to raise funds for an international project.
- Donate supplies to assemble LWR health and/or school kits.
- Serve on the International Ministries committee.

Make a Gift to Support Our Mission
At Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, we believe and teach that all we have is a Gift from God. As good stewards of these gifts, we share as we are able with sacrifice and gratitude.Through our generosity we can express our Love, Faith and Thanksgiving. As the Psalmist writes: “The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.” (Psalms 24.1)
