Opportunities for learning and growing in faith are available for all generations during the Sunday Christian Education hour, 9:45 – 10:45 am. There are also opportunities throughout the week, via formal gatherings, as well as our various ministries and outreach programs. Click on one of the links below to learn more about your specific need or interest.

Sunday School

From 9:45 to 10:45AM on Sunday mornings from September through May, Trinity’s children gather on the Second Floor of the Fisher Parish House for Sunday School. Designed for children of preschool aged through fifth grade, the children explore topics from the Old and New Testament through the use of instructional videos, games, art, cooking and science. Sunday School is NOT a sit and listen experience, rather the children actively interact with key concepts each week.

Junior High Confirmation

A significant component of faith formation is the Confirmation Program of Trinity Church. This program seeks to instruct children in grades six through eight, in faith, and to prepare him or her for greater involvement in the life of the church. The components of this program include regular worship attendance, weekly classes, confirmation camp, youth group events, servant projects, and family events.

Senior High Youth

Throughout the school year, Trinity’s Senior High Youth continue spiritual growth, after the affirmation of their baptism, by meeting in the Youth Room on the Lower Level of the Fisher Parish House. For youth in grades nine through twelve, they dive deeper into faith-based discussion, amongst themselves and guest speakers. This format allows them to tackle the tough questions, all the while enjoying breakfast and each others’ fellowship.

Adult Forum

Adult Forum provides a context for open discussion of important topics. Usually led by a speaker, facilitator or panel, the Adult Forum includes sessions on Bible and theology, spiritual practices and faith development, ministries at Trinity and in the community, history and culture, and contemporary social questions. Adult Forum gathers in Fondersmith Auditorium on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45.

Adult Elective

The Elective Study offers in-depth, focused discussion of biblical books or themes in a small group setting. Elective Study topics have included “You’ve Got Mail” (a series of studies of Paul’s letters) and the Lutheran Confessions, among others. The Elective Study gathers in the Parish Library on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45.

Trinity Unplugged

Trinity Unplugged provides informal discussion of a range of topics throughout the church year. Gathering in the Landmark Café, Trinity Unplugged combines a casual atmosphere with open, personal conversation. Trinity Unplugged meets on Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45.

Christian Living and Learning

Living and Learning is a class that includes and welcomes, but is not limited to people with physical and/or developmental disabilities. The class focuses on developing a closer relationship with God and each other. Meets at 9:45 am in Room 206.

TWIST (Trinity Women in Study Together)

A study group for women, that meets on Wednesday mornings. Running from September through May, TWIST welcomes all women believers to open forum and discussion. They also jointly sponsor a Christmas outreach with Breakfast Fellowship in December, by collecting new clothing items to keep our brothers and sisters warm in the winter.

Men In Mission

Trinity Men in Mission groups are study groups that are open to parishioners of all ages. Groups meet at various times and places throughout the week.

Lay Academy

The Academy for Lay Ministry features series of topical courses, led by both lay staff and parishioners at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Lay Academy courses are offered at various times throughout the year, normally meeting in the evenings to accommodate work schedules.
